project life 2013 | week 8

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

i tried something new this week, creating it all digitally and printing it out piece by piece, resulting in my favorite spread yet. i had so much fun working with the black and white photos and adding in pops of yellow. i couldn't be more happy with how it turned out.

the full spread:

the left side, where i photographed and journaled about preparing for the baby by putting together his first stroller (we have another), my troubles with sleeping these days, and a little bit about my cat already displaying some signs of jealousy. I'll have to keep an eye on her once DJ arrives!

the right side, in which i share one of my new favorite smoothie recipes, show off some cute baby shoes, measure my belly, and start taking photos of the now completed nursery (which I will be showing off in my week 9 spread!).

a close up of the smoothie recipe.

and a close up of the shoes insert (which only displays four of his ten pairs!)

i had so much fun with week 8 and will definitely be revisiting the black and white photo with a pop of color theme again in the future.

    1. the two fonts used in this spread (and pretty much the only two i use) are bebas neue and mrs. eaves. the ampersand card i made myself; i just found some ampersands on google and then added digital washi tape to the top.
